The 5.Initially I noticed a tendency, once in a while, for the camera to freeze while you’ve been videoing something for a long time. The water wasn’t the clearest, but I did get pretty good results. This, back in the day, was really cool because it looked like a phone.Bought a refurbished one because I had one for years and used this one on a vacation with great results.and it takes it and keeps going.I knew we were going to doing a lot of water activities so I knew I needed a water proof camera. So I mounted the PlaySport on a Manfrotto 776YB monopod and had a walking stick and camera stabilizer in a very compact package.I have had the Kodak PlaySport for about 1 month now and used it numerous times in outdoor and indoor settings.I used this camera for a week in Orlando Florida at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios, and Wet N Wild.I owned a earlier model of this camera which I purchased new for around $100.I literally held them next to each other and shot identical footage and audio.com, then downloaded and posted to this review to show the quality of the final results you can achieve online. But no practice or instruction was needed, because we found it to be very simple to use.If you get a slower card it will stop recording after a few minutes because the memory buffer in the camcorder will fill up because it can’t write to the memory card fast enough.I have recorded for 30min straight everyday the past month as I go cycling, and haven’t gotten any problems at all.The pick up microphone is easy to accidentally block/shield when you are using the camera to record both video and sound simply by placing your hand in the way of the very directional microphone it uses to record sound.– H.It takes decent pictures. With this camera we have hiked to the Parthenon at the top of the Acropolis in Greece, rode dune buggies through mud in Cozumel, snorkeled with Stingrays in Grand Cayman and hiked in the pouring rain through the rainforests of Roatan, Honduras.

I was really trying to do this on a budget, as I want something that I could use to post little demonstration clips on discussion forums, etc.I predict that that will change in the coming year since this reliable HD recorder has some features that make it much better than the Flip HD.For what the avg.It arrived, and I am impressed at how light it is.I bought a second Zx3 about six weeks ago and three days past the Amazon return date expiration, it stopped working.I used my sister’s littleFlip UltraHD Video Camera – White, 8 GB, 2 Hours NEWEST MODELa while back and really thought it had a nice picture quality and was a very convenient size.I had an OMG moment.Amazon’s price made the decision easier. For the money I have spent on it,I have nothing to complain about, the precious moments of my kids taking a spill in the water, seeing them taking on waves… priceless. In fact, the biggest reasons I bought this camera were A: it will do 720P at 60fps, B: it’s waterproof, and C: it has a standard sized tripod mount. My wife used to purchase the Kodak/Fuji single use underwater film cameras whenever we’d go on a trip which included opportunities for underwater pictures. All previous videos were taken with my two Canon Powershot cameras which only produce 480p video. She was pleased with the easy operation to take videos and playback to show her family instantly. What it is – ideal, the size of a small cell phone , takes superior 720p/60fps video quality , and the camera, as a bonus, is shock and waterPROOF .I personally bought it for it’s waterproof capabilities. We took it snorkelling, parasailing, swimming, and body surfing.I am a cannon guy but this looked so cool that I had to have it.The device is really light, even with the battery and the SD card inserted. The audio port on hers quit working, and it didn’t have a way to transfer it to a computer. The HD picture quality is fantastic.

Here are some of the pros and cons:Pros:– Better overall video quality than the Flip, imo. After some research I decided on the Kodak Zx3.I take it with me on vacations, to family gatherings, and basically any place where I want to capture stuff for home videos. When Hurricane Sandy struck I had seconds to evacuate. It worked fine in my pool and I was very pleased with the picture quality.Feels rugged, and is WATERPROOF! Plus you also get to take still pics in 5." if you have a playsport only use the kodak cord to charge it.The Good:This camera is nice and small! The video quality is great! and I like the fact that you can change the batteries out.Wanted a waterproof Hero, but when I got the Hero its two buttons were impossible to figure out. When in water, I often have gloves on.I have owned several other handheld camcorders over the years so am familiar with the crucial features. The picture quality is impressive although you have to hold the camera still. For this purpose it is perfect. The camera turns on very quickly and with only 1 button press you are recording so you can capture quick shots very easily.I participate in activities which often take place during inclement weather, so the waterproof-to-3M feature of the Kodak was the deciding factor.Waterproof housings for digital cameras are more expensive than this video camera. This was the winner! I am pleased with my purchase, and so far all is going quite well! The battery is easily charged with my boyfriend’s cell phone charger, but we also picked up extra batteries and a battery charger just in case.We took it to Canada and then Europe and basically you can give it to the kids and not worry about it.Its small size and waterproof ability means that you can bring it almost anywhere, anytime, and never have to say “if only I had brought my video camera. In the past I haven’t been too much of a fan of Kodak products, but I am so happy with this “lil guy” as I affectionately call it! Last year my husband and I went on cruise where I had the amazing opportunity to swim with sea turtles…I kept thinking the whole time, I wish I could film this! Now I can, it’s waterproof! We had a big snow storm come through right at Christmas and I didn’t hesitate to grab this camera and go film in the snow!PROS:* Great Price!* It’s waterproof up to 10 feet!!!!* Perfect size and very lightweight* Great quality! You’ll need to adjust based on what you’re filming 720/1080 and how many frames you want to capture.
